Fun with Lisa & other friends in April

We had lots of fun while Lisa was here. Annika especially liked walking around in her high heels. We also had other visitors come to our house during the month of April.

Below is a sample of the photos Annika enjoys taking! She's becoming quite the photographer.

Rands in DC

While Lisa was in DC we also had visitors from Maine. Brad, Kent's roommate from BYU, Betsy, Liv & Gwen Rand. We had lots of fun with them going around seeing the sights. Kent predicted that the president would show up at the White House just for us. Sure enough as we were walking passed the White House 3 helicopters flew overhead and one of them landed on the White House lawn. It was sure nice of President Bush to be so accommodating to the Rands!

There's lots of water at the WWII Memorial to tempt any curious toddler. Luckily we had no mishaps - this time!

Lisa in DC

Lisa came to D.C. a year ago and stayed with us for 2 weeks, during that visit we did all the usual D.C. sights. This time we saw we some of the other great sights in D.C. like the Botanical Garden, the Indian Museum, and the Old Stone House in Georgetown. We also did a lot of shopping, it's dangerous to live near so much shopping.

We also spent an afternoon in Old Town Alexandria. We arrived at the waterfront just in time to see some street performers. Kent got in on the act and won the dance off! Lisa was also chosen to be a prop in a stunt. (videos coming soon!)

Indianapolis Children's Museum

While visiting Melanie (technically we were in Jeffersonville, Indiana) we made the 2 hour drive to Indianapolis. We met Anna (my mission trainer) and her little boy, Grant, at the Children's Museum. We had a great time, the favorite was definitely the Curious George exhibit.

Grant, Annika & Kayson loved the water - someone was thinking when they provided the plastic aprons!

Louisville

The first stop in our travels was Louisville to visit Melanie, Colton & Kayson. We were there for Thunder Over Louisville, the big firework show starting the Kentucky Derby season, I think. Anyway it was a huge firework show, very fun to see, but it was a little cold!

Waiting for the fireworks to start.

Annika had the most fun pushing the stroller around!

This was taken a few weeks before the haircut.

This was taken after Lisa cut Annika's & Kayson's hair. Annika just got a little trim, but the change in Kayson was pretty dramatic!

Lisa Made It to D.C.

When Lisa flew in to D.C. we drove straight downtown to see the Cherry Blossoms. The peak blooming time was over, but they were still beautiful!
