New York City

Kent & I went to New York City mainly to see his brother Randy perform in a National Highschool Choir Concert directed by Craig Jessop at Carnegie Hall. We left Annika in the capable hands of Tiana and CJ for 2 nights. It is the longest we have ever been away from her. They said she was great. If you want to see the fun she had while we were gone look at the Christensens blog (the link is under Friends and Family). We stayed with one of Kent's college roommates and his wife and baby. Ryan & Lynda have a great apartment in the city a block away from Central Park and right by Magnolia Bakery where Lynda took us to try the cupcakes. Since we bought one from Magnolia Bakery we also had to try one from Buttercup to compare. I preferred the Magnolia cupcakes, but Kent liked Buttercup better, but really they were both delicious. We spent Monday walking around the city and taking pictures with the paper version of my neice, Flat Melissa. We saw another BYU roommate, Nathan Bowen, and stopped in at the New York branch of Robert Silman & Associates (the firm where Kent works in D.C). That night we went to the concert at Carnegie Hall. It is so fun just to be in that building and the choirs were excellent. It was a fun trip!

You know, I never asked how it was to be away from Annika for so long. I am glad you guys had fun, however. Some of the pictures didn't show up. At least if you ever missed Annika, you still had flat Melissa?
