Fall Craft & Robyn's Birthday!

We have been meeting with two other moms, Callie & Trina, and their daughters Hannah & Summer who are Annika's age every Tuesday to do a little preschool for the girls. Annika has a great time, we usually sing songs, they play and do a little craft. This book about the seasons was our craft at Callie's house. The girls had fun finding the colorful leaves outside then gluing them on.

Annika was being photogenic that day in her new outfit!

It was Robyn's 30th Birthday, so we had to celebrate. Her husband, Eric, planned to have us all meet at our favorite custard place, The Dairy Godmother, in Alexandria. We almost ruined the surprise by showing up at the Mexican restaurant nearby for dinner, the same place Eric decided to take Robyn to before heading over for icecream. But I think she was still surprised. What she didn't know is that Eric arranged for us to bring cupcakes from the very popular Georgetown Cupcake!

Pumpkinville

Here are the pictures from our trip to Pumpkinville in October. Annika & I went with Tiana, Ches, Ellie and Tiana's parents, who were visiting from California. They had all the apples and apple cider you wanted, plus lots of bouncy castles and slides for the kids. We went on a hayride and the kids had their faces painted. Annika sat so still while the lady painted a pumpkin on her face, she was so excited about it, but we had to wash it off that night I guess she was too tired to notice, so when she woke up the next morning she was very upset that her pumpkin was not there when she looked in the mirror! Annika's favorite part of Pumpkinville was all the animals that she could pet. She was not afraid of them at all and would follow them around until they stopped and let her pet them.

Even in Oct. it was too uncomfortable for me to take Annika down the slide, so Tiana (Annika's other mom, as she likes to call her) took her down the slide for me!

Air Force Memorial

This is a picture of the Air Force Memorial. I took it for Lisa since Josh is in the Air Force and we didn't get a good picture of it when she was out visiting.

20 Weeks!

Here I am, 20 weeks pregnant! And the big announcement is we are having TWIN GIRLS! Below are the images from my 20 week ultrasound. Baby B is on top, she is shown in profile sucking her thumb. Below is Baby A a front skeletor looking picture. You can actually see Baby B's leg sitting on Baby A's head! We are very excited (Kent is still hoping the sonographers are wrong and one of them is a boy) Annika likes to pat my tummy and tell us that she will give her binky to her baby sisters.

Happy 30th Birthday Kent!

Kent turned 30 years old Oct. 1st! Annika and I took cupcakes to his office on his birthday, then Tiana babysat for us that night and we went out to Kent's favorite restaurant, Rock Creek. That weekend we had a few friends over for dinner and cake & ice cream to celebrate.

Annika really has no choice, but to become and engineer!

Kent's so old he had to enlist Annika & Ches to help him blow out his candles!

It's Oct. so we had to get Fluffy bear's Halloween costume out for her to wear.

Mission Memories

I know this is a silly post, but my former mission companions may appreciate this. I have a problem with keeping everything, I have a hard time throwing things away. But we live in a 1 bedroom apartment and I'm starting to feel cramped for space. I have a very nice friend, Allyson, who is very good at throwing things out. She came over and helped me clean out my closet. One thing she said had to go for sure was the shoes I wore on my mission and the two last skirts I'd been holding on to. They really were cute 7 years ago!

RSA outing to Annapolis

The end of summer outing for the firm Kent works for was to Annapolis. We went for a boat ride around the Chesapeake Bay then went to a park for dinner. Annika liked the boat ride, she got to steer, and Kent helped hoist the sails!
