Blizzard 2010

We had a couple of big storms this winter. The whole city was shut down for about a week, church was cancelled and most people didn't have to go to work. Kent decided since he usually rides his bike or runs to work that he could make it. So he walked to work on the day of the worst storm - in the blizzard. No one else even showed up at the office. He had to walk back home, buses were not running and our car was in our garage, but the street to get out of our garage was not plowed for a few days. These pictures were after the first round of snow. A couple of days later we got 12 or so more inches.

After seeing how the cars were buried, there was a mini cooper you couldn't even see on one of the side streets, I'm glad we pay the extra money to keep our car in the garage!

It took people hours to dig their cars out.

C & C Birthday Party!

Kent & C.J. drove up to his parents house on Friday night so we celebrated Calli's and Claire's birthday on Saturday night. I was glad to have Tiana there to help me with the cakes. We just had to do them the twins signature colors. Pink and green has been our theme for everything this year!

Happy 1st Birthday Callista & Claire

We were at Kent's parents house for the twins 1st birthday. The girls and I spent the week there with Nana while Pop pop was at a conference. Our friends Tiana, Ches, Ellie, Robyn and Charlie also came with us for a nice getaway from the city. Their birthday outfits were from Lisa. Perfect colors because from the time they were a few months old Calli has been the pink baby and Claire the green baby (bracelets, binkies, cups etc). Another way for their dad to tell them apart (even though they are not identical). Annika always makes sure Claire gets green and Calli gets pink, she is very particular about that.

They have changed a lot since being born 4 weeks early at only 5 lbs 4 oz and 5 lbs 9 oz!

Zoo and other entertainment

This was the twins first trip to the Zoo. They love to see animals, but they also scare them. Their favorite toys at home are stuffed animals that they can hug and squeeze maybe live ones are a little too much!

Mostly we just stay home, the twins are easily entertained especially crawling around in our tv stand, there are usually toys under there for them to pull out before climbing in.
