Memorial Day Weekend

Annika & I made it back to D.C. for Memorial Day weekend. I think Kent was glad to have us home. Saturday we went to the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. We got a little lost trying to find it, but when we did it was really pretty.




There were not many people there, so we had to take a self portrait!





Sunday at church, just for fun we took a picture with Robyn & Eric. Eric is Kent's 2nd cousin. They were already living in the ward when we moved in a couple of years ago. It's fun to have friends that have to hang out with us because we are family!




This is the path we walk on to get to church. It is a 10 minute walk from our apartment to the church. Annika likes to see all the squirrels & birds that live along the path. We love where we live and would never move except that our apt. only has one bedroom.



Still, Annika's favorite position to sleep in - with her little bum in the air!

Monday we went on a bike ride with Robyn & Eric. We rode on the Mt Vernon trail starting just south of Old Town Alexandria all the way to Mt. Vernon & back. It was a total of 16 miles! It was a fun trail and beautiful scenery. The trail follows the Potomac River most of the time.

Annika's latest thing is trying on my jewelry, but it only works if the earrings hook over her ears.

Dance Review & Last night in Utah

Rochelle's dance studio put on their Spring Recital on May 19th so we were able to see all of her dancers and watch Melissa dance. Melissa is a good dancer, she even gets to be in 2 classes so she did double the dances. Annika liked finding Melissa on stage and when the dance was over she would say "again, again!"





Melissa also did her solo dance to "It's a Hard Knock Life" She took first place in a solo competition last month and was the Queen!










After 4 hours it's over!

Our last night in Utah, Annika didn't want to go to bed she just wanted to play with Polo.

More Utah Fun!

While we were in Utah we were able to see Michael play in the Region Tennis tournament and since it was the end of the year we were able to attend Michael's award ceremonies for English, Math & Science, Academic Letter and Tennis.

Kristin is now selling Lia Sophia jewelry - the kids had a great time playing with it!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a great Mother's Day! Besides being with my own little girl I was with my mom, Grandma Chamberlain, Grandma Berrie, Aunt Cathy, Aunt Judy & Aunt Sheral. I have been raised by wonderful women. We had lots of family in town for the weekend, my sister Kristin & her little boy Nathan came up from Phoenix and my sister Nicole & her husband Kevin also came.

Bryce Canyon

After Baby Bella was born my dad had a conference at Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon, so Lisa & I took Melissa, Richard & Annika there to meet up and stay with my parents overnight. We had fun swimming and hiking the trail in Red Canyon to go see the ice cave. The biggest accomplishment was getting all of the kids asleep in the same hotel room that night.
